What We Believe
C.O.R.E. beliefs
At Creekside Place Church, we believe that we are all sinners, and fall short in our own efforts. (Romans 3:23) We also believe that there is only one way to God, and that is through his son, Jesus. (John 14:6) The third member of the Trinity of God (Holy Spirit) was sent to guide, comfort, and strengthen the believer. (John 16) We also believe that God has set eternity in EVERY MAN'S heart (Ecclesiastes 3:11). As for the rest, we pretty much believe that we are all imperfect people, in an imperfect world, that must have support. We believe that the church is vital in the growth and support: both spiritually and physically. 1 John 4:18 says it best-"Perfect love casts away all fear."
C-hrist
We believe Christ is the head of the Church and we are saved only through Him. You must be born again to inherit the kingdom. (John 3:3)
O-ur Sins
We believe our sins separated us from our creator and brought about the need of Jesus and His death, burial and resurrection. We believe that the blood that was shed on the cross was for the forgiveness of ALL of our sins. No sin is too big or too small for God to forgive it. And that without repentance of sin and acceptance of Jesus Heaven is not obtainable. (John 3:16, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Romans 10:9-10, 1 John 1:9)
R-econciliation
We believe reconciliation is a must in our Christian walk. We must be reconciled to God through Christ and reconciled to others through forgiveness. We believe forgiveness is not an option, but a way of life for every believer of Jesus. (Colossians 3:13)
E-mptiness
We truthfully believe that every person on the earth was created by God and for good works through God. We believe that there is an actual void in the heart of every human being that does not know Christ that only He can fill. We also believe the more you try to fill it with other stuff, the more hurt you will be in this life. (Ecclesiastes 3:11, Ephesians 2:10, Psalm 139:13-14, Jeremiah 1:5)
